Vast majority of Lasik patients only feel mild discomfort.
A clear, light plastic shield is placed on your eye. This is worn for the rest of the first day, and every night for two weeks. It prevents you rubbing your eye in your sleep. Eyedrops be given to use for the next few days.
Post treatment Do’s and Don’ts
Do not
- Do not rub your eyes for the first month.
- Do not wear make up for one week.
- Do not go swimming in the first month.
- Do not do aerobics or fittness exercises for the first week.
Do’s
- Take your prescribed eye drops.
- Be gentle when washing your face and avoid using flannels etc. around the eye area.
- Avoid smoky or dusty atmospheres.
- Ring our helplines if in any doubt.
